Урок по английскому языку по теме: 

«The Geographical position of Russia»

Тип урока: комбинированный (многоцелевой), урок формирования  лексических и фонетических навыков, развития умений монологической речи, совершенствование навыков чтения, аудирования  и осуществление первичного контроля.

Цель урока: Формирование познавательной активности учащихся, умения участвовать в общении с несколькими собеседниками, публично выступать с подготовленными устными сообщениями по выбранной теме по географии, расширение лингвистического и общего кругозора.

Практическая задача: Обобщение учебного материала по теме «Географическое положение России». 

Образовательная задача урока: Использовать иностранный язык для обобщения знаний в области географии, развивать ораторские способности учащихся.

Воспитательная задача урока: Формировать у учащихся уважения и интереса к своей стране, её ресурсам и потенциалу, воспитывать культуру общения, формировать потребность в практическом использовании иностранного языка в сфере учебной деятельности.

Развивающая задача урока: Развивать навыки устной монологической речи, памяти и мышления, способности интегрировать сведения из области географии – умения работать с географической картой.

Ход урока:

1. 1. Организационный момент.

— Teacher: Good morning boys and girls!

— Pupils: Good morning dear teacher! We are glad to see you!

— T: I am glad to see you, too! How are you today?

— P: We are fine thanks. And you?

— T: I am fine thank you. Sit down, please.

 

 

— T: What date is it today?

— P: Today is the 16th of February

— T: What day of the week is it today?

— P: Today is Tuesday.

-T: What is the weather like today?

— P: It is frosty.

— T: Thanks, sit down please.

 

 

2. Постановка целей и задач урока. Мотивация учебной деятельности учащихся.

— T: Dear children! I expect our lesson will be very interesting and exiting today because we are going to talk about our dearest and most favorite place on the Earth, about the greatest and most powerful country. Can you guess what country it is? Look at the map on the blackboard that can help you.

— P: I suppose we are going to talk about Russia.

— T: Yes, you are right. Today and during the next lessons we’ll speak about Russia and its geography. Read the name of our lesson, please. (На сладе название темы урока.)

— P: The name of our lesson is “Russia and its geography.”

3. Презентация “Russia and its geography”

Now look at the screen and listen to me and you will know some facts about Russia that can help you to answer the next questions.

-T: Russia is the largest country in the world and also one of the most powerful states and its official name is the Republic of the Russian Federation. It is situated in two parts (Europe and Asia), on one continent (Eurasia). Its total area is over 17 million kilometers. The capital city is Moscow. It was founded in 1147. It is one of the oldest cities in Russia and in the same time Moscow is the largest political, industrial, scientific and cultural centre. There are many things to see in Moscow. For example, museums, art galleries, theatres, churches and monuments. The people of our country are proud of the Moscow Kremlin and Red Square. There are also many big cities in Russia. The country has 12 seas and 3 oceans that wash Russia: The Pacific, the Atlantic and the Arctic. There are also many plains, valleys and mountains. The main are: The Great Russian Plain, the Urals, the Altai, the Caucasus and others. The main rivers are the Lena, the Yenisei and the Ob. The Amur River is in the Far East and it flows into the Pacific Ocean. Russia has many beautiful lakes. The world’s deepest lake Baikal is 1600 meters deep. The Russian Federation is very rich in mineral resources, such as oil, natural gas, coal, iron, gold and others. Russia borders on many countries. Among them are Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Poland, China, Mongolia, Korea. The population of Russia is about 150 million people. Our country is multinational country where live 180 nationalities. And we can proud that we live in Russia.

-P: The official name of our country is the Republic of the Russian Federation.

-T: What is the capital of the Russian Federation?

-P: The capital of Russian is Moscow.

-T: What is the population of our country?

-P: The population of our country is about 150 million people.

-T: When was founded Moscow?

-P: Moscow was founded in 1147.

-T: How many nationalities live in Russia?

-P: There are 180 nationalities in Russia.

-T: Russia is the largest country in the world, isn’t it?

-P: Yes, it is.

 

 

5. Актуализация знаний.

Let’s start our travelling about Russia (Работа с картой).

6. Введение новой  лексики по теме урока и ее активизация на уроке.

На доске записаны слова, студенты записывают их в тетрадь, затем повторяют их за преподавателем

 

7. Закрепление знаний.

Составить кроссворд на слово “travelling”

 

 

8. Информация о домашнем задании, инструктаж по его выполнению.

— T: Dear boys and girls!

Этап 7. Рефлексия. Итог урока

Цель: отследить уровень усвоения материала и психологическое состояние учащихся на уроке.

Предлагает студентам вопросы: понравился ли им урок (что именно?), узнали ли о стране новое (что именно?) Отвечают на вопросы преподавателя и на доске рисуют изображение своего настроения, с которым они уходят с урока (комментируя свои действия).
